About VSG

Sleeve Gastrectomy is a surgical weight loss tool in which the stomach is reduced to about 25% of its original size, by surgical removal of a large portion of the stomach, following the major curve. The open edges are then attached together (often with surgical staples, glue and possibly cauterization) to form a sleeve or tube with a banana shape. The procedure permanently reduces the size of the stomach and is performed laparoscopically and is not reversible.

  2. Hi Nat, thanks for your comment. That location is a clinic, not a hospital so that's the main difference in price IMO. In retrospect, I would have preferred a hospital expereince. If you poke thru my tags to the right for the Jerusalem clinic, surgery etc, you should find all of my documentation on the experience I had.
If you're looking for a great surgeon in a hospital environment, as well as full follow up/follow along with someone who has been down this road before, please check out the company at the top "Weight Loss and Beyond". I'm a client coordinator for that place and everyone involved has your best interests at heart. We even go with you to ensure you're comfortable! If you decide to submit a info request on there, just let them know it was Cheryl that told you about them. They want to keep track of word of mouth vs print advertising :)

Feel free to send me any other questions, or an email! I wish you luck researching this journey!
