About VSG

Sleeve Gastrectomy is a surgical weight loss tool in which the stomach is reduced to about 25% of its original size, by surgical removal of a large portion of the stomach, following the major curve. The open edges are then attached together (often with surgical staples, glue and possibly cauterization) to form a sleeve or tube with a banana shape. The procedure permanently reduces the size of the stomach and is performed laparoscopically and is not reversible.

Surgery day

I'm all jitters. Currently gowned up and waiting on my IV to get put in. Hubby is upstairs eating. Lol. The bastard.

Just found out the hospital is full so he won't be staying with me in a room. :( This makes me anxious but it's only 1 night so if it's ok with him to sleep on the couch then he will stay. Otherwise I predict he will go to the hotel a day early. I have to room with someone I just met. That blows but I'm trying to take it in stride.

I'm more worried my hubby will be out of place and bored than I am about myself right now!
